Vote Republican! Avoid Pelosi Syndrome!

During these final days of the 2008 election, Republicans are pushing ads that portray Wyoming as a reliably conservative state and one that distrusts East Coast Liberals. If you are a born and bred Wyomingite with conservative creds, you are good and trustworthy. If you were born somewhere else -- especially any East Coast state north of Virginia or (worse) California -- and you're a Democrat, you are bad, untrustworthy and probably a Socialist.

Obama To Make Acceptance Speech At Mile High

Let's hope it doesn't rain:

The Obama campaign plans to announce as soon as tomorrow that he will break with tradition and leave the convention hall in Denver to deliver his acceptance speech at Invesco Field at Mile High, capacity 76,000+, home of the Denver Broncos. (The classic Mile High Stadium, which stood on what is now part of Invesco's parking lot, was demolished in '02.)

This should create quite the visual--much more dramatic than the usual acceptance speech. It also will be a huge rally in what is perhaps the most important swing state of all--Colorado. Seems like a very good move to me.  

Light Rail and the Convention

Now that we're getting closer to the convention more information is starting to trickle out on security and other issues. Today we will look at Denver's light rail system. We'll tell you what we know and what we think may happen.

Denver's light rail line opened in July of 2000 and expanded in November 2006. It has quickly become a widely used form of transportation for thousands of Denver area residents each day.  read more »
